China warns of more extreme weather as Typhoon Bavi leaves trail of rain, flooding

Chinese forecasters warned that more extreme weather was on the horizon as the country continued to battle the aftereffects of Typhoon Bavi. Jilin province in the northeast issued an emergency alert on Tuesday night for flooding of multiple rivers. Authorities called for traffic controls, cautioned residents to stay home and ordered people near the rivers to evacuate.
