Magnitude 8.2 quake strikes Philippines, tsunami warning issued
An earthquake of magnitude 8.2 struck Mindanao in the Philippines on Monday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said. The quake was at a depth of 10km (six miles), GFZ said. GFZ earlier pegged the earthquake at 7.3. The US Tsunami Warning System issued a tsunami threat to the earthquake.
