US-Iran deal 'what Tehran wanted'
US and Iran agreed to an “immediate and permanent” end to military operations under a surprise memorandum of understanding announced via mediator Pakistan on Sunday.
The deal includes an end to hostilities in Lebanon as well as the lifting of a US naval blockade, according to Iranian state media.
These were both key points demanded by Tehran before agreeing to any deal, reports France 24's correspondent Reza Sayah.
