Another heat blast hits Europe as drought, fires and record-low rivers worsen

Europe is bracing for another wave of extreme heat, with temperatures forecast to reach the mid-30s Celsius in parts of Britain and France and spread across much of the continent.

The latest heatwave comes after record-breaking temperatures, worsening drought, major wildfires and thousands of excess deaths, while dangerously low river levels threaten water supplies.
