Hamas says it’s in contact with mediators over escalated Israeli killings in Gaza Hamas’ political bureau chief, Khalil al-Hayya, has been in close contact with mediators over the recent escalation in Israeli killings in Gaza, along with attacks in the occupied West Bank and at Al-Aqsa Mosque, the group said, according to Al Jazeera.

In a statement, it said the killings are damaging chances for calm and show Israel failing to uphold its commitments under Trump's plan, due to restrictions on aid and reconstruction.

Hamas also said al-Hayya wrote to several countries, warning that humanitarian conditions in Gaza could worsen as winter approaches, adding that Israel is blocking the entry of heavy machinery needed to clear rubble and secure damaged buildings, as well as tents and supplies meant to protect people from cold and rain.

The group is urging mediators to push Israel to meet its obligations under the first phase of the ceasefire deal, mainly by stopping the killings and letting rescue and shelter equipment into Gaza without restriction.
