Israel kills head of northern Gaza police force The head of the northern Gaza police force has been killed in an Israeli air strike, the enclave's health ministry is reporting. It said that Brigadier-General Abdel-Nasser Al-Maqadma, also known as the governor of northern Gaza, was killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood. Meanwhile, a Palestinian medic was killed in a separate attack in central Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp, medical sources reported. They added that a police officer succumbed to wounds he'd sustained in attack the previous week. In recent months Israel has killed dozens of members of Gaza's police force, including senior officials, claiming they are Hamas fighters.
