UAE dodges question on pre-October 7 warning to Netanyahu
UAE dodges question on pre-October 7 warning to Netanyahu The UAE addressed questions from The National, an Abu Dhabi-based newspaper, about whether it had alerted Netanyahu to a potential Hamas attack ahead of October 7, according to a Haaretz report.
In its response, the UAE said security matters are handled through "relevant entities" in discussions with other countries, stopping short of directly addressing the claim.
An earlier Haaretz report stated that Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE's president, phoned Netanyahu roughly ten days before the October 7 attacks.
Their 45-minute conversation reportedly included a clear warning that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was preparing a large-scale operation targeting Israel.
The National is owned by International Media Investments, a media group under the control of bin Zayed's brother.
