Fast moving wildfires raze neighborhoods in US northwest city of Spokane

Fast-moving wildfires destroyed hundreds of structures around Spokane, Washington, prompting thousands of residents to evacuate, officials said on Sunday. Three separate fires erupted in and around the city as strong winds and exceptionally dry conditions fueled rapid fire spread. The National Weather Service had warned of "extremely critical fire weather conditions" beforehand.
