France adopts bill legalising assisted dying for adults
French lawmakers on July 19 adopted a bill that will create a legal right to assisted dying for adults with incurable illnesses, capping an intense ethical and political debate. The text will now be presented to the constitutional court, which has up to a month to approve it.
