US: Taco Bell removes lettuce after parasite outbreak
The American fast-food chain Taco Bell is removing lettuce from its menu at many locations following reports of explosive diarrhoea linked to a multistate outbreak. The outbreak is the largest US outbreak of cyclosporiasis, a parasitic infection spread through contaminated food or water. While no deaths have been reported, 94 people have been hospitalised.
