Houthi missiles on Riyadh and other cities intercepted, Saudi coalition says
Houthi missiles on Riyadh and other cities intercepted, Saudi coalition says Saudi-led coalition forces said air defences intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by Houthis toward Riyadh at dawn on Saturday, coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said in a statement.
Saudi Arabia's air force "successfully intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi terrorist militia," al-Maliki posted on X.
He said the Houthis also tried to target "civilians and civilian infrastructure in Bisha, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu," adding that the attacks "were thwarted by the Gulf monarchy's air defences".
Al-Maliki accused the Houthis of escalating such attempts and affirmed the coalition's right to take "appropriate measures" against the group under international humanitarian law.
