Netanyahu condemns violence in West Bank

It was a rare condemnation from what is widely seen as the most religious and ultranationalist government in Israel’s history.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned recent attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, but described the violence as the actions of a “handful of rioters.

” Tensions have surged across the territory, with activists accusing settlers of acting with impunity. Much of the recent violence has taken place in the town of Qusra.
