ICJP welcomes UK settlement sanctions, but warns they should not be left as 'symbolic gestures' The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians released a statement on Tuesday welcoming the British government's announcement of a ban on trade with illegal Israeli settlements as a "first, though overdue, step towards bringing UK policy in line with its obligations under international law".

However, it warned in a post to X that such policy measures "must be enforced with teeth, not left as symbolic gestures".
