Netanyahu threatens legal action over Haaretz report on UAE warning before 7 October Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has ordered his lawyers to take legal action against Haaretz, journalist Shlomi Eldar and “other individuals”.
The newspaper reported that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed warned Netanyahu of a potential Hamas attack before 7 October, but that the Israeli leader failed to inform the military and the Shin Bet security agency.
Netanyahu rejected the account, saying his call logs and other records from the period contained no evidence of a conversation with the Emirati president. Haaretz says it stands by its reporting.
