Iran will neither forgive nor forget Minab school massacre, Araghchi says
Iran will neither forgive nor forget Minab school massacre, Araghchi says Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has said that his country will neither forgive nor forget the Minab school massacre “but will continue to pursue it”, IRNA reported. During a visit to the “Minab School” painting exhibition on Friday, Araghchi said human rights have “become a political tool in the hands of some Western states”, “exploiting them for political gain and attaching no real value to the concept”. “We believe in human rights in the true sense of the word in Iran and have always defended the rights of the Iranian people and will not allow it to be abused by others,” he added, according to IRNA. In February, a double strike on a girls' school in Minab in southern Iran killed 165 people, mostly students aged seven to 12. Local officials say about 170 girls were at the school during the attack, which Iran attributes to the US and Israel.
