Ghalibaf says 'no one will be able to sell oil in region where Iran can't'

Ghalibaf says 'no one will be able to sell oil in region where Iran can't' Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned that “no one will be able to sell oil in a region where Tehran cannot”, according to Mehr News Agency. On Friday, Ghalibaf republished on X a message originally dated 22 July, responding to earlier claims by US Central Command (Centcom) commander Admiral Brad Cooper that American forces had achieved full control of the Strait of Hormuz and halted Iran's oil exports. “The equation of this war is clear: either all or none!” he said. “In a region where we don’t sell oil, no one else will sell oil either.” He also said that the security of the Strait of Hormuz, lies in “the absence” of US troops. “If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe,” he said, according to Mehr.
