Louvre Museum's Apollo gallery reopens, almost a year after the heist
It is the gallery from where 88 million euros worth of France's crown jewels were stolen last year in a dramatic heist. Thieves disguised as construction workers and broke into the gallery, using a truck mounted lift. Today, the Apollo Gallery of Paris's Louvre Museum is to reopen to the public. No jewels will be on display in the room – it will revert to its 17th century function as a state gallery. Details by FRANCE 24 journalist Carys Garland.
