Israeli strike injures several people in Gaza Israeli drone strikes wounded several Palestinians, some seriously, in Deir el-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to Al Jazeera. An air strike targeting Palestinians on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza killed one person and wounded others. Another Israeli drone strike wounded several people, including a woman and a child, near the Intelligence headquarters northwest of Gaza City, earlier on Friday. Palestinians inspect damaged and destroyed buildings after they were targeted by Israeli strikes the previous night, following warnings to evacuate in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, on 29 July 2026 (AFP)

Trump Casts Doubt on New Iran Negotiations as War Drags On
Retired Army General Wesley Clark, who served as Supreme Allied Commander Europe, said the more the US wants negotiations, the stronger the hand Iran thinks it has at the table. Clark said that the Iranian government sees the fight against the US as existential and that it will take more than taking out a few oil refineries to get the IRGC to surrender, particularly as they receive more backing from Russia and China.
