Saudi-led coalition warns Houthis after airport threats
Saudi-led coalition warns Houthis after airport threats The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen has warned it will respond with “utmost firmness and unprecedented force” to any attempt to target Saudi Arabia after the Houthis threatened attacks on airports and other strategic facilities.
In a statement, the coalition said Houthi threats were “nothing more than an attempt to divert attention from their gross violations against the brotherly Yemeni people”.
It added that it “will respond and strike with utmost firmness and unprecedented force” against any threat to the kingdom, its citizens or its national capabilities.
The warning came after Yemen’s Houthi movement said it could target Saudi airports and vital infrastructure if Riyadh violated Yemeni airspace or launched military operations.
The group accused Saudi Arabia of an earlier airspace intrusion.
