Rare train of Pacific cyclones fueled by historic El Nino

Hurricane Lowell and Hurricane Karina moved through the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday, fuelled by a historically strong El Nino climate episode.

This year's El Nino has a 69 percent chance of becoming the strongest on record, and it is already linked to extreme weather despite not being expected to peak until October-December.
