IRGC claims US aircraft carrier, destroyer forced to flee after missile attacks Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had fired several ballistic missiles at a US aircraft carrier and a US Navy destroyer that it said were harassing Iranian ships and participating in an ongoing naval blockade of Iran, according to Iranian media. Tasnim news agency reported that the IRGC claimed the two warships, “after sustaining damage and fearing further attacks, were forced to flee the conflict zone”.
