The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has warned that “despite lower levels of violence than earlier this year, the situation in south Lebanon remains fragile". The peacekeeping force said that between 21-27 August, it recorded 1,030 projectile trajectories in the area, an average of 147 per day.
