Bangkok declares flood disaster after massive 48h downpour
Thailand’s capital Bangkok on Saturday declared a flood disaster after more than 300 millimeters of rain in less than 48 hours, leaving canals overflowing and streets submerged.
“It’s like at my waist level now,” a local said. The governor has urged people not to panic, saying the situation is stabilising.
