Oil supertanker hit in Hormuz: Iranian media An oil supertanker is in flames in the strait of Hormuz after it was hit by a missile, Iran’s Fars news agency is reporting.
The attack took place eight kilometres off the coast of Oman, Fars reported, without attributing a perpetrator to the attack.
The attack is the latest in a spate of attacks on vessels in the strait, with UK Maritime Trade Operations logging three incidents on Wednesday alone.
US President Donald Trump rejected an Iranian proposal to reopen the strait on Sunday.
