Recap: Iran says war with US not over Iran and the United States remain at odds over the Strait of Hormuz after President Donald Trump rejected Tehran’s proposal to reopen the waterway.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran was still waiting for an official response through mediators and would not abandon its conditions for reopening the strait.

Iran’s army chief, General Amir Hatami, meanwhile said the war was not over and that Tehran needed to consolidate what he called its victory, while Iranian officials have threatened attacks on US ships in the Indian Ocean if a new war breaks out.

Trump rejected Iran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while Tehran says the waterway will remain closed until its conditions are met.

Tehran says any renewed US attack could trigger a response involving new military technologies and previously unused targets.

The IRGC says it captured a US Remus 600 autonomous underwater vehicle in the Strait of Hormuz. Israeli attacks continue in Gaza, while Israeli forces have also carried out air and artillery strikes in southern Lebanon.

Yemeni government forces have launched operations against Houthi positions in Taiz as the conflict continues to displace civilians.
