Morning update Good morning Middle East Eye readers, Here are the latest developments: Israeli strikes on a residential building early on Monday killed at least 11 people, including two infants, in the southern Lebanese town of Kfar Rumman, state media reported. Five others were also wounded in the attack. Israeli across the Gaza Strip on Sunday resulted in the killing of five Palestinians, including two children. One drone strike targeted a car in al-Nasr neighbourhood, killing one and injuring several others. A young boy was reportedly killed by artillery shelling in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. Earlier, another girl was killed alongside her father while they were travelling in Gaza City. Over 300 fighters and civilians have been killed since renewed fighting erupted in Yemen last week, according to AFP citing a tally based on military and medical sources from both sides. While government officials told the agency that 84 of their troops were killed over the weekend, Houthi military sources said that 57 of their fighters were killed in the same time period. Jewish settlers have shot and killed a Palestinian man in Hajeh village, east of Qalqilya in the northern occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry says. The ministry confirmed the death after earlier reports that Israeli forces and settlers had opened fire on Palestinians in the village, wounding several people. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei has accused the US for starting the conflict and then attempting to make the rest of the world bear its costs while portraying Iran as responsible for the resulting crisis. He said Washington’s "illegal and brutal war" disrupted commercial shipping, halted oil tankers and drove up global energy prices.
